The Best Guides Have Travelled the Road
Helping women recognise they still have choices...
and the courage to create what comes next
There was a time when I believed life happened to us.
Today, I know our lives are shaped by the choices we make... and by the ones we avoid.
That understanding didn't come from a book. It came from living.
Like many women, I've experienced seasons of loss, uncertainty and reinvention.
When I was sixteen, a serious accident changed the way I saw myself. In an instant, the identity I had built around my appearance was shaken.
For the first time, I found myself asking... "If I'm not who I thought I was... then who am I?"
What I couldn't see then was that the accident hadn't created my deepest beliefs. It had exposed them.
Growing up, I had inherited the belief that a woman's value came from what she gave. That we served. That we pleased. That we put others first. Without realising it, those beliefs quietly shaped the way I lived.
I became a people pleaser... seeking acceptance through achievement, responsibility and looking after everyone else.
Years later, when I began doing my own mindset work, I realised those beliefs weren't facts. They were inherited patterns.
And inherited patterns can be changed.
Then life asked another question. The loss of my granddaughter brought grief unlike anything I had known.
It also brought my beliefs about life, death, safety and certainty to the surface. Once again, I found myself standing at a crossroads. I could allow fear to make my world smaller... Or I could honour my grief while courageously choosing to keep living with an open heart. That season didn't take away the pain. It transformed the way I saw life.
I stopped waiting for certainty. I stopped believing that safety was found in avoiding risk.
Instead, I began living with a deeper awareness that life is precious, unpredictable and always inviting us to choose how we will respond. Those experiences didn't define me. They refined me.
They taught me that lasting change doesn't begin when our circumstances change. It begins when we do. When we become aware. When we question the beliefs we've inherited. When we take responsibility for the direction we're choosing. And when we find the courage to choose again.
That philosophy became Dig Deep for Diamonds.
Today I work with women who know there is more waiting for them.
More clarity and more purpose, more confidence and more choice.
Some arrive feeling successful but unfulfilled and some are rebuilding after loss.
Others have spent so many years caring for everyone else that they've forgotten how to choose themselves.
Wherever you find yourself, my role isn't to fix you. It's to help you uncover what has always been there... Your strength and wisdom, your courage and your ability to create what comes next.
That journey has now found its physical home in DAVAR... a private sanctuary in the Dordogne where women step away from the noise, reconnect with themselves and make intentional decisions about the future they want to create.
Because I believe your best years are not behind you. They begin the moment you realise... You still have choices.

What others are saying...
Ruth, has a way of asking the right questions at the right time to encourage insights and those amazing 'aha' moments! Ruth is so patient and calm and I always feel safe to share my thoughts and trust that she will be open and honest with me. The huge shifts I have recently experienced, I know are as a result of the weekly conversations we have which hold me accountable and to a standard I desire.
It is always a beautiful exchange of energy which I value immensely. Thank you. - Sue -
Ruth has helped me to believe in myself, accept myself, and be aware of the messages I am telling myself so that I have more choice and peace during my trials and tribulations. Now I have so many tools that I can refer to in my mind when I experience anxiety that help me overcome old thinking patterns/beliefs and challenging emotions. Ruth has helped me learn to remember my true value and potential and how to sustain loving beliefs about myself as that is what serves me greatly in this lifetime - Rebekka -
